Draught

It has been hard to think about winter, considering how warm it has been lately. Draught! Not a word you would usually associate with the Lower North Island. And they say we won't get much of an Autumn, which is a real shame because Autumn has got to be my favourite season. Usually a season to celebrate versatility, you can wear boots and a big warm coat one day then a dress from summer with a cardigan the next. Not too hot, not too cold - just right.

While trying to plan my winter collection, the first garment that comes to mind is the cape coat pattern that proved quite popular last year. Elegant and comfortable to wear, with plenty of layers or on its own, very versatile and very Autumn. I have just finished this navy blue one that is available for purchase on the website. I have another one of these in the works, made out of one of a kind retro curtain fabric. It will soon be available to bid on from our TradeMe store, as well as a few other gems that will help you get through the colder months, if they ever arrive...

Enjoy!
