Winter Is On It's Way

Hello Everyone!

Just thought I would pop by and let you all know what I've been up to lately.

...Making these awesome winter coats! I have been sewing for most of a week with this gorgeous pattern and so far I have made two, one red and the yellow one above. It has been so nice to get back into coat tailoring, I love it, it's probably my favourite genre of sewing! I did some reasearch on these cape-coats (like the one above) as they seem to be so popular lately, everyone was wearing them but it was really hard to find a place that actually sold them. Once I managed to track some down, I checked out what kind of lining they had and I was shocked to find... none. Which makes these cape coats much easier, I had stayed up most of one night worrying about lining one, seems silly now!

I have also been working on a more traditional coat, a pattern that I created myself based on the most beautiful coat I have ever seen. I've had some faux-fur lying around my sewing room for ages and I thought it would look spectacular on this coat - now I just need to find some buttons to match. I have been having a lot of trouble finding buttons in Wellington, so if anyone knows of a place that isn't Spotlight, please let me know!

That's all for now, better stop procrastinating and get back to sewing. Seeya!
