Don't Sew Over Pins!

Pictures from the Market on Saturday.

So during my hectic day last minute sewing for New Rags Market, I managed to get a pin threaded inside my machine on a 90 degree angle then back up through the mechanism so it made a little 'V'. I sewed over a pin accidentily, normally if this happens the needle will just slip off and continue the stitch giving me a warning cracking noise, as if to say: Don't do that again! I managed to fix it after about 15 mins of carefully removing the foot and unscrewing the metal pad underneath where the needle was wedged, managing to wiggle it to a point where I could turn it a little, then move it again, then turn again. I surprised myself with my handiness! Managed to put the machine back together, and finish the seam. I sense that my machine is very mad. The moral of the story: don't sew over pins!
